Lynette La Mere, founder of Pure Joy Catering, dreamed up a great idea to display 10 years worth of 'thank you' notes from happy clients. Instead of filing them away, she wallpapers the company restroom with them!
Clients love it and it's a great conversation starter when new clients visit her office in Santa Barbara.
LaMere, a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, was working for another caterer when a family emergency forced him to close the business. "I didn't know what to do," she said. "I didn't have a job."
So, she decided to go out on her own. Today, Pure Joy Catering has seven full-time employees and 300 part-timers on call. Every year, they cater 200 weddings and special events in Central California.
"I'm constantly reading and testing recipes at home," said LaMere. Her advice for you: "Have an amazing passion and endless enthusiasm for your business."
